This is a fully skippered cruise for you to relax and find out more about how the Broads were formed, the local history, and spotting local birds and wildlife as you glide along this magical Broadland landscape in the changing light of autumn and winter.

The Adventurous sail with Martham Boatyards

Take a deep breath and discover the beautiful Broads National Park in the colder months.

Plan your own adventure aboard a dayboat, taking it easy on one of the Norfolk Broads’ most peaceful stretches. Enjoy a pre-ordered lunch at The Pleasure Boat Inn, a newly refurbished riverside pub near Hickling Broad. Alternatively, motor along Candle Dyke to Horsey Mere and the Horsey Windpump, or glide under the bridge at Potter Heigham and onwards. All boats are provided with heaters and a kettle, and tea and coffee are also available.

The friendly boatyard team will share their local knowledge to help you create a bespoke exploration, whether you’re a seasoned sailor or new to the water. Dancing reeds and bare sculptural trees showcase this magical part of England in autumn and winter.

The accessible cruise with Nancy Oldfield Trust

Enjoy a day out on board of Nancy Oldfield’s accessibility friendly motor boats!

The Nancy Oldfield Trust is a registered charity dedicated to making sure everybody can explore these stunning surroundings. It has three motor cruisers, each with a wheelchair lift, galley, toilets and heating.

White Admiral is an 8-passenger electric cabin cruiser offering a quiet eco-friendly trip along the River Ant and around Barton Broad, perfect for bird watching, especially in winter when flocks follow migration paths. Nancy Bee II and Maureen Kenyon are diesel-powered motor boats, usually moored at Ludham Bridge, ideal for exploring the Rivers Ant, Bure and Thurne. The River Ant winds past the How Hill estate with its grand thatched Edwardian house, or head downstream to the picturesque ruins of St Benet’s Abbey then on to the faster running River Bure.

There’s an extra option of a 10-person accessible bungalow accommodation.
