Let’s celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights!
Head to the Hindu temple on the A47 near Halvergate on Saturday 22nd October to celebrate Diwali, one of the most significant festivals celebrated by many communities across Asia.
Festivities will start at 4pm with Laxmi Pooja, one of the important rituals performed during the festival of Diwali. Prayers are offered to the Goddess Laxmi so that the Hindu New Year is filled with peace, wealth and prosperity.
There will be a host of exciting Bollywood entertainment, music, performances and fireworks to enjoy and attendees will be sharing a meal for Prasad, a religious food offering. Please feel free to bring a vegetarian dish if you wish!
Get into the Diwali’s spirit and enjoy fun entertainment!
