Get Outdoors This October With Walk Norfolk Festival
This is your chance to get outdoors this October with Walk Norfolk Festival running across Norfolk from 1st to 31st October 2022.
With 28 walking events throughout the month, including 31 additional self-guided walks, there is something for everybody.
Get some fresh air this October and join guided foraging walks, nature connection walks, wildlife walks, marine conservation walks, history and heritage walks and much more!

Tuesday 11 Oct 2022 – 2pm – 4.30pm
Gorleston Local Wildlife Talk & Walk – If you are interested in local wildlife, then join the MONUMENT project and local wildlife enthusiast Liam Smith for this inclusive and wheelchair accessible Talk & Walk event. Refreshments will be available at the end of the event.
MONUMENT is a project supporting unpaid carers who support people living with mild to moderate dementia to access outdoor green spaces and improve their wellbeing. Carers and people living with dementia are very welcome to attend.

Tuesday 25 Oct 2022 – 10:30am – 12:30pm
Heritage and Hedgerows of Marriott’s Way
Led by Norfolk Wildlife Trust and the MONUMENT project, join a circular walk along Marriott’s Way. Along this route, you will explore some of the local history of the area as well as taking a moment to enjoy the wildlife-rich shrublands and hedgerows that skirt the lanes and footpaths today. This is a 2-mile steady paced walk, however, please note the route is unsuitable for wheelchairs and does include sloped gradients, walking on grass and a kissing gate.
Carers and people living with dementia are very welcome to attend. Refreshments will be available at the end of the event.
