Three Rivers Pitch and Paddle gets you out on the water in October and March with paddling tips from an experienced guide. Choose either a canoe or kayak and learn new skills or build your confidence while you explore the River Waveney as it meanders gently through the gorgeous waterscapes of the Broads National Park near the picturesque village of Geldeston in Norfolk.
Take in the beauty of the riverside, lined with trees, while your guide tells you about this unique environment and local wildlife. At this quiet time of year on the peaceful river, you’re more likely to see Little Grebes, Herons, Cormorants, Red Kite, Shrike, and Cetti’s Warbler and maybe even the splash of playful otters!
These informative, sociable tours are designed for small groups of people looking for a bit of guidance on the water. Great for friends or a way to meet new ones! The leisurely paddle takes up to 3 hours with a stop at the scenic Locks Inn Community pub (drink not included). Then head back to the campsite for a scrumptious locally sourced picnic from Suffolk Lunch (included).
