Bure Valley Cycle Hire
Photo: Visit the Broads

Explore all the Bure Valley has to offer by bike. Enjoy miles of traffic free easy cycling, along the railway path with the bonus of spotting the steam trains as they power past you.

Bure Valley Cycle Hire is based in the picturesque village of Coltishall, next to the famous Bure Valley narrow gauge steam railway. Explore the 9 mile stretch of the recently resurfaced Bure Valley Path without having to cycle on any roads. Remember a bygone era with steam trains passing right beside you.

Enjoy a full or half day adventure by hire bike following one of the suggested routes available on our website such as the 8-mile loop to Wroxham, heart of the Norfolk Broads, followed by Wroxham Barns, then quiet lanes back to Coltishall Common – perfect for a picnic or amazing pub grub.

For a longer ride perhaps visit Buxton with its impressive Mill, maybe take a detour to Oxnead Church. Next is Brampton, then carry on to the market town of Aylsham and beyond to Blickling Hall or Marriott’s Way cycle path.

Arrive in Coltishall by boat or train for that added element of excitement.

Please pre book your cycle hire on our website. We have a range of Specialized Hard Rock mountain bikes, with front suspension, ideal for exploring. The tyres have been filled with “Slime”, which instantly repairs should a puncture occur. Helmets are available free of charge if required. We have cycles available for riders from 125cm tall (approx. age 8) to adults.
